Thirteen Gardner Edgerton High School students recently put their engineering and problem-solving skills to the test at the University of Kansas School of Engineering High School Design Challenge. Seven teams represented GEHS in the competition, with two teams earning top-three finishes in their respective divisions.
Jackson Foster earned third place in the Biomedical Engineering division, competing against 18 other teams. In the highly competitive Mechanical Engineering division, Dawson Cassida and Hunter McNeer secured third place among approximately 50 teams. The competition was especially close, with just five points separating the first-, second-, and third-place teams.
The competition provided students with an opportunity to apply their critical thinking and engineering knowledge while competing against students from other schools.
Congratulations to all 13 GEHS students who participated in the challenge and showed off the innovative thinking of our Trailblazers!
