GEHS Softball Team Wins State Championship
The Gardner Edgerton High School Softball Team capped off an outstanding season by winning the 2026 Kansas 6A State Championship, defeating Haysville Campus 4-1 in the title game.
The Trailblazers earned their spot in the championship game with a 5-2 victory over Maize in the state quarterfinals, showcasing the determination and teamwork that defined their season from start to finish.
This championship is the culmination of months of hard work and dedication. Throughout the season, the Trailblazers consistently rose to the challenge, demonstrating the talent and character that have made them one of the top programs in Kansas.
Players, coaches and families all played a role in this memorable run, and the state title serves as a fitting reward for a team that never stopped believing in its goals.
