231

On Thursday, March 29, Trail Ridge Middle School hosted the first-ever USD 231 Resource Fair designed for students with special needs and their families. During this time, opportunities were detailed and included activities for all ages and abilities – with an emphasis on our special populations.

The turnout was impressive. 35 registered vendors were in attendance who promoted summer camps, theater opportunities, mental health resources, and physical therapists, among other opportunities. The list even included two canine companions! Additionally, over 30 families attended to learn more about these different groups.

In attendance to support the event were eight USD 231 employees and several Gardner Edgerton High School students.

The Sped Advisory Committee hopes to make the resource fair an annual event!

Thank you to everyone who worked tirelessly to make this event possible and a successful one!
