Grand Star Elementary

Grand Star will be doing a 6-hour school-wide relay on Monday, May 1st. Parents and students are welcome to start our relay at the Trailridge Track from 7:45-8:15 am. Students must have a parent in order to walk and have eaten breakfast before they come. All students will have an opportunity to walk throughout the day. Thank you for supporting our School Relay for Life!

Need an idea for lunch or dinner? Why not Panda Express? Mention Grand Star Elementary and the school PTA will get 50% back!

It is our last day for the Relay for Life collection. Bring $1 and wear a hat 🧢 The teacher with the highest total in each grade gets a pie in the face!

Tomorrow the K-State Wildcats play in the Sweet 16. Mrs. Ouellette and many staff members are big fans. Help us join in some fun by wearing PURPLE to school!

Tomorrow the Grand Star staff will be recognizing World Down Syndrome Day. Please wear crazy socks or blue and yellow to help spread awareness. In case you were curious...The date for WDSD is the 21st day of the 3rd month. It was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.

Our Family Fun Night is in full swing!

Join us at Grand Star for the Family Fun Night from 5:30-7:00. Please park in the front. We have food planned for families who RSVP'd.

We will be celebrating Read Across America Week. Please join us on this adventure as our students will be hearing from famous children's books, participating in contests, and having fun reading. Our daily book themes are below: Monday: The Napping House PJs Tuesday: The Day the Crayons Quit Your favorite color Wednesday: Oh, the Places You’ll Go! (for Dr. Seuss!)
