CONGRATULATIONS to Melissa Whitehead, Vocal-Music Teacher at Moonlight Elementary, for being nominated AND selected as this week's Great Employees Serving the District award winner! Melissa is being recognized as a result of consistently demonstrating the ability to connect with students and always exceeding expectations as they relate to serving our student body, fellow employees, and the community at large.
Specifically, "Melissa began her dedication to teaching students more about music over the summer by creating individual music bags for each student in our school. The students have everyday items to use in the classroom as instruments since she is unable to have students join her in her classroom at this time. Melissa has also worked tirelessly to create daily announcement videos with photos of students. Melissa is a ball of sunshine and has the most wonderful laugh you have ever heard.
