Jason Radel, assistant principal and athletic director at Gardner Edgerton High School, has been named the Kansas Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (KIAAA) Athletic Director of the Week! Now in his third year as athletic director, Radel is known for his focus on building strong programs that support student-athletes, coaches, and the broader school community.
Radel began his career in the Gardner Edgerton School District as a middle school special education paraprofessional and later served as a special education teacher, at-risk teacher, and 504 coordinator. He now works to support student-athletes and coaches while strengthening school culture. He says the most rewarding part of the job is seeing students achieve things they once believed were impossible. Congratulations!
