Sixth-grade students at Trail Ridge Middle School are celebrating an out-of-this-world achievement after being selected as winners of NASA’s TechRise Student Challenge. The team was chosen from a competitive national pool, with only 60 student teams across the country earning this distinction!
The team was selected in the high-altitude balloon category for their proposal, Radiation Aviation. As winners, the students will move into the next phase of the challenge, which is preparing their experiment for a NASA-sponsored flight. Over the coming months, they will work to refine and build their experiment with guidance from the TechRise Student Challenge program.
Congratulations to these students and their teacher sponsor, Dr. Angie Sauerwein, on this amazing accomplishment!
