Please congratulate the following six GEHS students for being selected (by audition) into the KMEA All-State Honor Choirs for 2025-2026. This is one of the most competitive auditions of the year, as the state choir only accepts a certain number of students for its treble and mixed choirs. As the KMEA website states:

"Students are selected via a rigorous audition process that starts at the district level. Students with the top audition scores who perform at the district level are then eligible for selection to the All-State Choirs. Thus, the All-State student musicians are truly “the best of the best.”

We are also in an incredibly competitive district of the state-which makes this honor even more special. This is the highest number of GEHS State singers in at least ten years-and we're checking other records to see about numbers beyond that. These students will join other student and professional musicians at our State Music Educators conference this coming February in Wichita for three days of rehearsals and performances.

Thank you for your support of these students! They have put in the work and practice and are worthy of this honor.
