Six students from GEHS traveled to KCMO to attend the Inclusive Youth Leadership Summit, hosted by Special Olympics. The event, titled "Creative Minds, Inclusive Futures" allowed unified pairs to come together with students from area schools to learn how to creatively solve problems of exclusion at their schools. They learned from peers with and without disabilities, played games, and even had a dance party!!
