CONGRATULATIONS to Peyton Holiway, an eighth-grade student at Pioneer Ridge Middle School, for being nominated AND selected as this week's Gardner Edgerton Student of Distinction award winner! Peyton is being recognized as a result of outstanding achievement and demonstrating exemplary attitude, effort and participation in a school or community-based service. Based on the nomination description below, it is obvious that Peyton exemplifies outstanding character traits and serves as a positive influence on peers and the community-at-large.

Specifically, "Peyton exudes positivity wherever she goes. She is actively involved in school participating in such activities as the school play and being a volleyball manager, while still maintaining high academic standards. She sets an example for all of the student body with her kindness, maturity, and willingness to help others. Peyton has an ability to form positive relationships with students and staff alike. Building relationships is highly valued at the middle school level and Peyton does this with ease, making a positive impact on all she meets." ~ Lindsay Day, Staff Member at PRMS
