CONGRATULATIONS to Dave Peavy, Crossing Guard, for being nominated AND selected as this week's Great Employees Serving the District award winner! Mr. Peavy is being recognized as a result of consistently demonstrating the ability to connect with students and always exceeding expectations as they relate to serving our student body, fellow employees, and the community at large.
Specifically, "I do not know the name of the individual I would like to nominate for this prestigious award. He is the crossing/traffic attendant at the corner of Madison and N. Buckeye Street, near the high school. I rarely leave the building in time to catch him still on duty, but when I do...he is a bright spot. He waves smiles and wishes a good evening or weekend. This man cares about the students crossing. He deserves to be recognized for his positive demeanor." ~ Stephanie Less, Teacher at GEHS
Most importantly - Seargent Peavy served as a United States Marine with a tour in Vietnam. During this tour, he served as a door gunner on an HU-1 helicopter and participated in more than ONE HUNDRED combat missions. THANK YOU!!!
Congratulations, Mr. Peavy!
