CONGRATULATIONS to Jack Fitzpatrick, a seventh-grade student at Trail Ridge Middle School, for being nominated AND selected as this week's Gardner Edgerton Student of Distinction award winner! Jack is being recognized as a result of his outstanding achievement and demonstrating exemplary attitude, effort and participation in a school or community-based service. Based on the nomination description below, it is obvious that Jack exemplifies outstanding character traits and serves as a positive influence on peers and the community-at-large. 

Specifically, "Jack has shown amazing leadership skills during this young cross country season. He is always positive and encouraging towards his teammates. Once he finishes his workout he goes back and finds a teammate and runs with them, all the while giving them a pep talk. Jack has also led by example. He goes out every day, without complaint, works hard, competes, and smiles through the entire thing! He's a joy to have on the team!" ~ Gina Roberts and Colby Kromminga, Coaches
