CONGRATULATIONS to Landyn Stach, a second-grade student at Nike Elementary, for being nominated AND selected as this week's Gardner Edgerton Student of Distinction award winner! Landyn is being recognized as a result of his outstanding achievement and demonstrating exemplary attitude, effort and participation in a school or community-based service. Based on the nomination description below, it is obvious that Landyn exemplifies outstanding character traits and serves as a positive influence on peers and the community-at-large.
Specifically, "Landyn is a one-of-a-kind kid! He is a natural leader in and out of the classroom. He comes to school every day with a positive attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. He is always up for a challenge and willing to put in the work to meet his goals. He is also one of the most caring and encouraging kids I know. Landyn is very good at seeking the little opportunities to show kindness to his peers. It is obvious that he understands a little bit of kindness can go a long way. He is always the first student to introduce himself to the new kid, invite the lonely child to play, or find a way to cheer up a sad friend. I enjoyed watching Landyn humbly lead his classmates, by showing them what a true friend looks like, how to confidently be yourself, and how to always put in your best effort." ~ Rachel Kroh - Second Grade Teacher
