Welcome to Gardner Edgerton High School
Built in 2000, Gardner Edgerton High School and the District Activity Complex provide state of the art educational and athletic facilities for students in grades 9-12. In 2004, a ten-classroom addition expanded the high school's program capacity from 1,200 to 1,600 students.
Recent improvements at the District Activities Complex, located adjacent to GEHS, provided a competition soccer stadium and additional baseball and softball practice fields. A dedicated wrestling facility and an athletic multi-purpose building were added to GEHS in 2006.
GEHS is the only high school in Gardner Edgerton USD 231, which currently includes nine schools: six K-4 elementary schools, two grades 5-8 middle schools and the high school.
Wireless Laptop Technology
In fall, 2008, GEHS began utilizing new wireless technology, culminating a three-year initiative to equip and retrofit all district schools with a wireless environment. Laptop carts are available to all classroom teachers to support daily instruction. (Note that laptops are NOT be available for students to check out and take off-campus. ) This exciting new learning technology has been fully embraced by students and staff alike.
