PRINCIPAL TIM DRAKE

Thank you for your interest in the Gardner-Edgerton School District and specifically Pioneer Ridge Middle School. I consider myself very fortunate to be the principal of such a great building. The staff at PRMS is amazing. They are truly a dedicated and committed group of educators who devote their time and effort to insure success for our students.  We are also fortunate to have outstanding students and parents.  Our students perform well in all areas of education – academics, the fine arts, and athletics. Our parents are second to none and we are grateful for their continuing support.

My career has taken me to three states and opportunities to work at all levels of public education. I treasure the many experiences I have had as well as the many things I have learned along the way. Somehow, I always managed to find myself working at middle level schools. Over ½ of my administrative career has been spent working with students at the middle level. I find it very rewarding to work with students this age. Their enthusiasm and energy is contagious and keeps me young at heart.

I am a native of Jefferson City, Missouri which pretty much makes me a Mizzou fan as well as a St. Louis Cardinal fan. I received my undergraduate degree from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri and my master’s degree from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. My administrative course work was completed in Texas at the University of Houston and Sam Houston State University respectively. My wife is also an educator and works in a neighboring school district. Our daughter is a college student attending Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.  When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time at Table Rock Lake, watching sports (especially in March when I attend the NAIA Division II Men’s National Basketball Tournament), reading, and visiting our daughter in St. Louis.

Pioneer Ridge is a great place and I look forward to meeting you! Go Jags!!!!!!!
